This doll was a gift for my one year old granddaughter. It was a hit! She took it out of the gift bag and immediately wanted to hold it. It is so-o-o soft! I was completely satisfied with it and so was my granddaughter. i do think that it's probably appropriate for one, two, and maybe three year olds.
